Jane Steinberg, PhD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Clinical Preventive Medicine
Dr. Steinberg has expert knowledge of program planning and evaluation of public health interventions and health policy. Her research has focused on STDs/HIV, adolescent health, correctional populations, substance abuse and health disparities. Professor Steinberg’s previous work examined risk factors for substance use and STD risk behaviors among incarcerated adolescents. Her current research interests include promotion of the HPV vaccine among vulnerable populations, impact of the Affordable Care Act on public health services and access to care, and best practices and policies in publicly funded substance abuse prevention programs.
