Why Choose USC for Your Online Master of Public Health?

Icon Leaders

Work Closely with Public Health Thought Leaders

Receive personalized attention, mentorship and guidance from renowned public health leaders — individuals who are called upon to serve as advisors for government agencies and private organizations such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

We pursue breakthroughs in areas such as tobacco policy, health and human behavior, human rights, environmental science and others. That means when you study with us, you experience cutting-edge education and make connections with thought leaders at a world-class research institution. Ultimately, you learn to see solutions where others cannot. It’s an advantage that’s unmatched by any other online MPH program.

Expect a High Level of Personalized Support

Our enrollment advisors, academic advisors, career counselors and practicum coordinators are personally invested in your success. That means when you choose USC’s MPH, you’ll benefit from customized academic advising, specialized practicum advisement — for local and global opportunities in your area of interest — and personalized career counseling.

Additionally, our MPH program leverages a convenient “all-in-one” online learning environment. The interactive, user-friendly system connects you to instructional content, live sessions with faculty members and real-time discussions with your classmates. It also connects you to a 24/7 help desk. When it’s 2 a.m. and you experience a technical glitch, we’ll be available to resolve any issue.

Icon Experience

Create Your Own Public Health Education Experience

Putting knowledge into practice is what drives public health. That’s why the cutting-edge coursework in our MPH does more than elevate your core competencies in the field. It gives you the power to tailor your studies in an area of your choosing: Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Community Health Promotion, Global Health, Health Services and Policy or a Generalist concentration.

It also provides you the opportunity to complete a hands-on practicum — either local or global. In other words, you’ll have a variety of opportunities to integrate and enhance what you’ve learned in the classroom and apply it in the field.
