About the Department of Preventive Medicine
The Department of Preventive Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC is known as a leader in public health and population health sciences. Organized into six divisions — Disease Prevention and Global Health, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, Environmental Health, and Health Behavior Research — the Department of Preventive Medicine performs pioneering research in areas such as tobacco control, breast cancer, pediatric obesity, global health, interaction between genes and the environment and others.
